A collective of 7 women artists “question female perception in today’s image-driven culture” in “Skin & Blister”, an exhibition of contemporary photography at Photofusion in Brixton, London. Ends 10 March 2016.

A collective of seven art ‘sisters’
My “Skin and blister” is my “sister” in Cockney rhyming slang, and is also the namesake for a newly-formed collective of seven women photographer/artists currently working in London. From 11 February to 10 March 2016, “Skin&Blister” showcased the women’s work at PhotoFusion in Brixton, London, and hosted two related workshops/panel events, “Establishing & sustaining your practice: The benefits of working collectively” and “Working collectively: Then & now”.
Sadly the exhibition is now closed, so if you missed their recent collection of evocative images, you’ll have to wait for the next project from Skin&Blister! Stay tuned on their website or Facebook page for more information.
Skin & Blister collective includes:
Sophie Davis, Louise Oates, Francesca Oldfield, Dafne Salis, Laura Solomons, Alex Wheeler, and Martha Gut
